Andalucía, años cincuenta. Enrique y Carmen acaban de conocerse y se enamoran profundamente. Ella consigue que él se quede a prestar el servicio militar en un juzgado de la ciudad. Las injusticias que presencia Enrique cada día lo llevan a pensar que debe actuar para cambiar el rumbo de las cosas. Pronto se verá involucrado en arriesgadas acciones que pondrán en peligro su vida y la de sus compañeros.

Enrique (Iban Garate) es un soldado que ejerce de taquígrafo en el ejército. Mantiene una relación amorosa con Carmen (Blanca Suárez) cuyo tío, Don Eladio, (Karra Elejalde) es un juez que va demostrando a Enrique su implacabilidad a la hora de ajusticiar a los presos que caen en sus manos. Al tener fácil acceso a documentación confidencial, Enrique entra en una organización clandestina que lucha contra el régimen.

Tras descubrir que en dicha organización también está implicada su prometida, Enrique y sus compañeros deben enfrentarse a difíciles retos que concluirán con un enfrentamiento directo con Don Eladio y el exilio de la pareja a Marruecos.
