The Nobel Week Starts
Since 1901, the Nobel Prizes have been presented to the Laureates at ceremonies. The Laureates come from different parts of the world to Stockholm or Oslo to collect their prizes. This old video clip shows poet W.B. Yeats arriving at the Central Station in Stockholm in December 1923.

What Do the Laureates Receive?
At the award ceremony the Swedish King hands each Laureate a diploma, a medal and a document confirming the Nobel Prize amount. In 1901, the amount was 150,782 Swedish krona per unshared prize, for 2016 it is 8 million SEK. But can money buy us happiness?
