本年度の受賞者の顔触れを今一度御確認ください。日本の大隅良典氏(医学賞)や 受賞発表後長く沈黙していて話題になった ボブ・ディラン氏(文学賞)など、¿世界最高峰?の 受賞者達です。

MONTHLY OCTOBER 2016 2016 Nobel Prizes - For the Greatest Benefit to Mankind In his will, Alfred Nobel left much of his wealth to establish the Nobel Prizes, awards to those who had "conferred the greatest benefit to mankind". Nobelprize.org welcomes this year's 11 new Nobel Laureates: three in Physics, three in Chemistry, one in Physiology or Medicine, one in Literature, one in Peace and two new Laureates in Economic Sciences. Thouless, the other half jointly to F. Duncan M. Haldane and J. Michael Kosterlitz for theoretical discoveries of topological phase transitions and topological phases of matter. "They are so small you can't see them". This year's Chemistry Laureates developed the world's smallest machines. Here, Professor Sara Snogerup Linse of the Chemistry Committee explains the challenge of constructing molecules that act like machines.  Watch the video 2016 Peace Prize Awarded to Juan Manuel Santos for his resolute efforts to bring the country's more than 50-year-long civil war to an end. "This is a very important event for my country, for the victims of this war".
