What Does It Take to Succeed in Science?
Nobel Laureates share their thoughts
What does it take to succeed in science? Is it years and years of hard work, day and night - neglecting your private life, friends and family? Or can breaks for hobbies or other interests pay off in the long run?  Here, Nobel Laureates give advice on both work hours and breaks, and share their insights into how to maintain a good work-life balance.

Let's start with Paul Nurse, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2001 for fundamental discoveries of key regulators of the cell cycle. His advice is: "It's when you take off the pressure that you can imagine new things."
